Research Foci
1. I am primarily interested in human personality, with a particular interest in the construct of perfectionism. I primarily use quantitative methods, but have methodological interest in both quantitative and qualitative approaches.
2. Much of my research focuses on personality as a risk factor for psychopathology, particularly as it relates to mood problems such as depression, anxiety, and decreased well-being and alcohol use/misuse.
3. I have broad interest in open science, reproducibility, and statistical education in the social sciences. In the near future, my research is likely to move towards issues in statistical education and how perfectionism might impede learning.
4. I also often publish in areas outside my primary areas of interest in my role as a statistical analyst (e.g., in the area of Anesthesia in medicine or with colleagues in my own department). In this capacity, my publication record is somewhat eclectic.
